Never crocheted before? No problem! The workshop is also suitable for beginners with no previous experience. Step by step, you will learn the basics of crocheting and how to make your first amigurumi. On Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. in the workshop room in the Aschrottsaal.

Amigurumi (Japanese: 編み包み) is the charming art of crocheting small stuffed figures such as animals, fruits, or other cute objects. The word combines amu (to knit/crochet) and kurumu (to wrap/enclose) – and that’s exactly what you’ll experience in this workshop: creative crocheting that’s fun, easy to learn, and leads to adorable results.

What you'll learn:

  • Introduction to Amigurumi techniques
    Crochet basics: stitches, increases, and decreases
    Guided help with your first Amigurumi creation
    Tips on yarn types, hooks, and stuffing materials
