Are you interested in yukata? Maybe you already have one but aren’t quite sure how to tie the obi bow? Then this workshop is perfect for you!
You’ll learn all the basics about wearing a yukata – including the obi (belt) and all the accessories you’ll need, from essential items to luxurious extras.
We’ll guide you step by step on how to properly wear a yukata. The practical part focuses mainly on tying the obi bow traditionally worn by women – but we’ll also show the knot for men.
If you already have a yukata and accessories, bring them along and join in! We’ll have obi belts for up to 10 participants available to practice with, and there will be two rounds of bow-tying so everyone gets a chance to try.
Please note: Participants should avoid wearing heavy makeup, as the obi are delicate and difficult to clean.
